Genoa Cemetery Association Annual Meeting Agenda April 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm Genoa Town Hall, 2287 Main Street Genoa, NV 89411

It is the intent of the Genoa Cemetery Association Board to protect the dignity of members who wish to comment before the Board. Citizens should have the ability to freely comment on items and/or projects that are brought before the Board for action without interference. In order to ensure that every member desiring to speak before the Board has the opportunity to express his or her opinion, it is requested that members of the audience refrain from making comments or making any remarks or gestures that may interrupt, interfere with, or prevent the speaker from commenting on any present or future item/project.

For any item on the agenda, public comment may be permitted at the discretion of the Board's presiding officer. Public comment on all items appearing on the agenda must be limited to 3 minutes.

a. Genoa Cemetery Association Newsletter went out to membership February 2024.

b. Genoa Cemetery Association Bylaws and Rules & Regulations update. The Bylaws and Rules & Regulations can be viewed on the Genoa Cemetery website, https://genoacemetery.org/.

c. Volunteerism at the Genoa Cemetery including E. Clampus Vitus and Eagle Scout project.

d. New Board Members' seats filled April 2023. Eric Brink and Loren Simpson were elected at April 2023 annual meeting. Erin Pasley, Roger Falcke and Thomas Peters were appointed after the annual meeting due to 3 vacancies.

e. Update on newly de-rocked plot, layout, and alignment including whether new plots will have individual concrete walls vs. shared walls as in Section J.

f. Update on easements being notarized for Coatney and Buchannon. Coatney did not agree to sign the easement.

g. Update on rock pile.

VI. FUTURE EVENTS (for discussion and possible action)

a. Volunteer Cleanup Day.

i. Proposed Day, Date, Time

ii. Emphasis on cleaning of landscape and overall appearance of cemetery.

b. Future Fundraising ideas.

VI. TOWN OF GENOA CANDY DANCE PARKING 2024. (for discussion only)

a. Recap of Candy Dance parking 2023.

b. Review of newsletter poll results.

VIII. ACTION ITEMS

a. Genoa Cemetery Board terms of Elaine Shively and Roger Falcke end April 2024. Elections to be held for these two seats, which would be a three-year commitment ending April 2027.

i. Voting by proxies permitted subject to verification of proxies.

To aid in the verification of proxy process, the Board requests that proxies be delivere o the Secretary at P.O. Box 971 Genoa, NV 89411, 1-2 weeks prior to the annua meeting so verification can be performed before the meeting.

Proxies may be brought the day of the meeting, however, if proxies cannot be verified at the meeting, the results of the vote for new Board members may be delayed pending verification. If this occurs, the results of the election will be posted to the GCA website.

Per the Bylaws Article III, Section 2, "Members are entitled to one (1) vote per deeded plot provided their membership fees and assessments are current." PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DUES AND ASSESSMENTS ARE CURRENT IF YOU INTEND TO CAST A VOTE.
