The Genoa Cemetery Board is currently working on a new mapping website that can be easily navigated. The launch of this map is anticipated in Spring 2026
How do I find out more about who is buried in the Genoa Cemetery?

What do the annual assessment fees cover?
The fees cover cleaning and maintenance of the cemetery. These expenses continue to rise and as and as such the annual fee can change annually.
Why does the cemetery accept donations?
The Genoa Cemetery is a NonProfit Association 501(c)(13). This Association is independent from any funds related to the Town of Genoa. Due to the historic nature of the cemetery there is a large percentage of families that no longer have heirs. To preserve the historic nature of this beautiful cemetery donations are an integral part to maintain it for future years.
I own a plot. What do I do if I need to coordinate an interment?
An interment is coordinated through a mortuary. Please notify the Genoa Cemetery Association when a burial is to take place utilizing the contact information listed on this website.
What does the Genoa Cemetery Association need when an interment is to occur?
The Genoa Cemetery Association does require a copy of the Burial Permit and Death Certificate at the time of interment.
